Basic DTC analysis according to OBD2 protocol standard.

OBD2 or On-Board Diagnostics displays messages for basic group styles. More comprehensible code composition has been standard since 2000. The DTC code consists of five characters and its composition will be shown in this video

Insight into programming

The basic unit for the operation of any computer is the bit. Logic 0 and 1 are expressed by a single bit. Diagnostics The error code is composed of 16 bits. The first two bits define one of the four basic circuits. The video will show you a comprehensive overview of the composition of the error report

Basic error definition

Left Rear Height Sensor. General Electrical Failures. Circuit Short To Ground

Cause of DTC

The Suspension module (SUM) receives information about the bodys vertical position from four different height sensors. The height sensors are located in the body, one at each wheel. Each height sensor has mechanical contact with the suspension via a control arm. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that: The signal from the height sensor has too low voltage. The control modules test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of: Ignition switch position II. The test is carried out every other operating cycle. The Suspension module (SUM) defines an operating cycle as ignition on and ignition off. Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) indicates the relevant height sensor. SUM-C1A0311: Height sensor, left front. SUM-C1A0411: Height sensor, right front. SUM-C1A0511: Height sensor, left rear. SUM-C1A0611: Height sensor, right rear.
