Basic DTC analysis according to OBD2 protocol standard.

OBD2 or On-Board Diagnostics displays messages for basic group styles. More comprehensible code composition has been standard since 2000. The DTC code consists of five characters and its composition will be shown in this video

Insight into programming

The basic unit for the operation of any computer is the bit. Logic 0 and 1 are expressed by a single bit. Diagnostics The error code is composed of 16 bits. The first two bits define one of the four basic circuits. The video will show you a comprehensive overview of the composition of the error report

Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit Low - Bank 1 Sensor 4

Cause of DTC

The Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensors are used by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to monitor the engine exhaust temperatures in the aftertreatment system. The EGT Sensors are thermistors and change resistance based on the temperature being measured. EGT Sensors receive a 5-Volt signal from the PCM and share a sensor ground. The PCM monitors the change in signal voltage and converts this to a temperature value. The PCM illuminates the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) when the diagnostic runs and fails after two consecutive drive cycles. The PCM will turn off the MIL lamp after the diagnostic passes on four consecutive drive cycles. The PCM will disable active regeneration mode.
