Cause of DTC

The ORC receives, processes, and continuously monitors (monitor rate of 500 ms) the analog signal from the ODS. The Occupant Detection (ODS) Sensor circuits DTC will become active if the condition of less than or equal to 3mA sensor current is present for 4.5 sec. The DTC will become stored 4.5 seconds after the conditions are corrected. If the ODS sensor is turned off and a quot;Clear All Faults quot; occurs, the ODS sensor will be restarted
