Cause of DTC

The Active Aerodynamic System is an automatic device which operates according to vehicle speed allowing for better reactivity at intermediate speeds and greater stability at higher speeds. The Active Aerodynamic system consist of two Modules, one the Master unit Active Aerodynamic Module Left (AAML) and one the Slave unit Active Aerodynamic Module Right (AAMR) and are protected by dedicated fuses which are in the Power Distribution Controller (PDC). The management strategy is implemented by both control units which interface via CAN C Bus with the Body Controller (BCM) and the other Module’s on the network and in particular the instrument panel to indicate possible DTCs. The two control units AAML and AAMR interface with each other on a dedicated Private CAN Bus to manage the state of the two modules. In case of a failure of the one deflectors, the generic failure icon along with a message which identifies the type of malfunction and also lights up the lamp on the instrument panel display.
