Basic DTC analysis according to OBD2 protocol standard.

OBD2 or On-Board Diagnostics displays messages for basic group styles. More comprehensible code composition has been standard since 2000. The DTC code consists of five characters and its composition will be shown in this video

Insight into programming

The basic unit for the operation of any computer is the bit. Logic 0 and 1 are expressed by a single bit. Diagnostics The error code is composed of 16 bits. The first two bits define one of the four basic circuits. The video will show you a comprehensive overview of the composition of the error report

Control Module. Internal Fault

Cause of DTC

The Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) is located in the lever module together with the steering wheel module (SWM) and is supplied with power by it. The steering wheel angle sensor is installed on the underside of the contact reel and together they create a replaceable unit. A code wheel is mounted inside the steering wheel angle sensor which follows the movements of the steering wheel. 9 x optical digital sensors and 2 x analog photo diodes read off the code wheel. These signals are compared and must create a specific pattern. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the signal pattern created does not correspond. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SAS-0005 or SAS-0006 is stored (depending on the fault) if the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) registers an internal fault in the software. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on and the steering wheel angle sensor is initiated. Initiation is carried out when the steering wheel is turned more than 4.5° in any direction.
