Basic error definition

Throttle Position (TP) Sensor A Circuit High Voltage

Cause of DTC

If the signal from TP sensor A is more than a fixed value for a set time, the PCM detects a TP sensor A malfunction and stores a DTC. The execution time is continuous and the duration time is 200 milliseconds or more. Ignition is running and DTCs P0122, P2101, P2118, P2135, P2176 are not active. The TP sensor A output voltage is 4.8 V or more for at least 200 milliseconds. NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.
