Basic DTC analysis according to OBD2 protocol standard.

OBD2 or On-Board Diagnostics displays messages for basic group styles. More comprehensible code composition has been standard since 2000. The DTC code consists of five characters and its composition will be shown in this video

Insight into programming

The basic unit for the operation of any computer is the bit. Logic 0 and 1 are expressed by a single bit. Diagnostics The error code is composed of 16 bits. The first two bits define one of the four basic circuits. The video will show you a comprehensive overview of the composition of the error report

Basic error definition

5-Volt Reference B Circuit Malfunction

Cause of DTC

Key on or engine running; and the PCM detected the 5v Reference B circuit that connects to the A C Refrigerant pressure sensor was less than 3.5v or more than 5.5v for 30 seconds. The PCM provides a 5v VREF circuit to the Air Conditioning (A C) pressure sensor and the Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor. These 5-volt reference circuits are independent of each other outside the PCM, but are connected together inside the PCM. Therefore, a circuit condition on one sensor 5v VREF circuit may affect the other sensor 5v reference circuit. The PCM monitors the voltage on the 5v VREF circuit. If the PCM detects that the voltage is out of tolerance, it sets DTC P1639.
