Definition

Throttle Position (TP) Sensor A Circuit High Voltage

Description

If the signal from TP sensor A is more than a fixed value for a set time, the PCM detects a TP sensor A malfunction and stores a DTC. The execution time is continuous and the duration time is 200 milliseconds or more. Ignition is running and DTCs P0122, P2101, P2118, P2135, P2176 are not active. The TP sensor A output voltage is 4.8 V or more for at least 200 milliseconds. NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.

Cause

  • Poor connections or loose terminals at the throttle body and the PCMOpen in the wire between the throttle body and the PCM Open in the wire between the throttle body and the PCM Faulty throttle body PCM may need to be updated with the latest softwareFaulty PCM
